The UTC-1060 Automatic Grinding Machine is a state-of-the-art solution for achieving plane and parallel surfaces on concrete, rock, natural stone, and similar specimens, in compliance with EN 12390-1, EN 12390-2, EN 12390-3, EN 12504-1, ASTM C31, ASTM C39, ASTM C42, and ASTM D4543 standards.

  • High Efficiency:
    Simultaneously grinds multiple specimens:

    • Up to five units of Ø38–Ø50 mm cylinders
    • Three units of Ø70–Ø110 mm cylinders
    • Two units of Ø110–Ø160 mm cylinders
    • Three faces of 100 mm cubes
    • One face of 150 mm cubes
      (Specimen length must be ≥70 mm)
  • Precision Grinding:
    Achieves planeness accuracy of 0.05 mm for load-bearing surfaces and ensures side-to-end perpendicularity deviation ≤0.5°, meeting ASTM and EN requirements.

  • User Control:
    Adjustable grinding time from 50 to 400 seconds, with optimal grinding times of 90–120 seconds for most specimens.

  • Bidirectional Grinding:
    Specimens are evenly abraded by a grinding wheel with bidirectional radial displacement for superior surface preparation.

  • Safe and Ergonomic Design:

    • Fully enclosed system protects the user from water and dust exposure.
    • Stainless steel components ensure durability and corrosion resistance.
    • Easy installation of specimen cradles without additional tools.
    • Integrated wheels for mobility and easy access to components for maintenance.
  • Water Filtration and Circulation (Optional):
    The optional UTC-1064 Filtration and Circulation System Water Tank reduces water consumption by filtering and recycling water during the grinding process. It activates automatically with the grinding machine.

  • Preparation of drilled concrete core specimens for compressive strength tests (EN 12504-1, ASTM C42).
